Nothing Under the Bed

What lurks underneath your children's bed? Long forgotten toys, lone socks, schoolbooks? Drag the whole lot out and ruthlessly get rid of what isn’t needed or used.

In order to ensure that your children have a solid and healthy night's sleep, it's very important that they have healthy air flow in and around their bed. While utilising the storage area under a bed may be useful, it also encourages a breeding ground for mould, dust and bacteria.

So it's important that if you absolutely have to store something under the bed, it is kept in an airtight container and you keep the absolute minimum required.

When your children are sleeping, whether they are young children or teenagers, it’s essential that they have the right conditions to achieve a healthy sleep, particularly in the immediate surrounds of their mattress, pillow and bed. It's important to regularly vacuum your children's mattress, bed head, slats and underneath the bed. These are the key breeding areas for dust mites, which are the primary triggers for asthma and dermatitis.

Clear out under their bed and you’ll clear the way for a good night’s sleep.
